Dental care in North Ryde, at your pace

Many people feel anxious about visiting the dentist, especially after a long gap or a bad experience. At North Ryde Dentistry we explain what we are going to do before we do it, check in with you during treatment, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

If it has been a while

If it has been more than six months since your last visit, a check-up and clean is the place to start. It includes an examination, X-rays where needed, a scale and clean, and fluoride. New patients: see our new-patient check-up (terms apply).

Fillings and root canal treatment

Small to medium areas of decay are usually repaired with a tooth-coloured filling. If decay has reached the nerve or the tooth is infected, root canal treatment may be recommended, often followed by a crown to protect the tooth.

Replacing missing teeth

Options include a bridge, which is supported by the teeth either side of the gap, or a dental implant, which is placed in the jawbone. Implants involve surgery and are not suitable for everyone; your dentist will explain the risks and alternatives.

Straightening teeth

Traditional braces and Invisalign clear aligners are both available. Your dentist will assess your teeth and bite and explain which options suit your case.

Cosmetic treatment

Teeth whitening and veneers can change the colour or shape of teeth. A dental examination is required first to confirm the treatment is suitable for you. Cosmetic treatment carries risks — read the risks and considerations.
