Porcelain veneers are a permanent change to your teeth, so it is worth asking plenty of questions before you decide. Here are some to bring to your consultation.
About suitability
- Are my teeth and gums healthy enough for veneers?
- Would whitening, bonding or orthodontic treatment achieve what I want with less tooth removal?
- Do I grind or clench, and how would that affect veneers?
About the procedure
- How much enamel will be removed from each tooth?
- Can I see a mock-up of the planned shape and shade before preparation?
- Will I have temporary veneers, and how many appointments are needed?
About risks and longevity
- What are the risks for me, such as sensitivity, chipping or veneers coming off?
- How long might the veneers last, and what happens when they need replacing?
- What maintenance and check-ups will I need?
About cost
- What does the quote include?
- What might future repairs or replacement cost?
- Are payment plans available? (Interest-free payment plans are available for eligible patients, subject to terms.)
